Why work at TEW
In our most recent staff survey, our own people scored us +53 on whether they'd recommend TEW as a place to work. The Australian all-industry average sits well below that. It's the number we're most protective of.
We've been engineering, building and maintaining critical infrastructure since 1992, from workshops at Molendinar and Brendale. The work is water and wastewater treatment, pump stations, switchboards, control systems, high voltage and hazardous area — much of it on live plant that has to keep running while we work on it. It's harder than new-build. That's why the people here are good.
Here's what you can expect:
- Profit share. When the business does well, everyone shares in it — regardless of role or which job you happened to be on.
- Training we actually fund. We've put an electrical fitter through his mechanical licence, three mechanical fitters through restricted electrical, with five more earmarked, and fitters through welding qualifications by recognition of prior learning. Two of our electricians are studying engineering while they work here.
- Somewhere to go. Our Senior Project Manager started here as a graduate engineer seven years ago. Leading hand, supervisor, engineering and project delivery are all real paths, and people here have taken them.
- A fully maintained vehicle for licensed technicians and supervising staff.
- Flexibility where the job allows it. Most field roles can't flex on location, but hours and rosters often can. Ask — we'd rather have the conversation than lose someone over it.
- Two locations. Molendinar on the Gold Coast and Brendale on the north side, so there's a fair chance one of them is a sensible drive.

I have gained invaluable knowledge through my work at TEW Solutions. Working on low-voltage systems is improving my analytical skills by exposing me to new types of risks that I had not previously given much thought to. Thanks to the company's training, I am quickly becoming an expert in low voltage standards. Management has been nothing but helpful throughout this educational journey and staff go out of their way to make you feel at home by checking in with you frequently.
